Return Policy
At German Shepherd For Rehoming , we know that welcoming a German Shepherd puppy into your life is a major, lifelong decision — one that requires careful thought and preparation. These are not just pets; they are devoted companions who thrive on love, consistency, and a stable environment. Our mission is to help every puppy find the best possible forever home, and we take that responsibility seriously.
While we do not offer trial periods or temporary placements, we understand that unexpected situations can arise. In rare cases where a new owner realizes shortly after purchase that they are unable to provide the long-term care a German Shepherd requires, we offer limited return or exchange options under specific conditions.
🕰️ 48-Hour Exchange Window
If, within 48 hours of purchase, you find that the puppy you selected isn’t the right fit for your lifestyle or home, we may, at our discretion, allow one-time exchanges for another available puppy of equal or lesser value.
This option ensures your puppy finds a more suitable match while remaining within our care and guidance.
💸 Partial Refund Consideration
In some cases, a partial refund may be offered based on individual circumstances. Factors such as:
- The puppy’s age and condition
- Transportation, feeding, and care expenses already incurred
- Time spent in pre-sale preparation
will be considered when determining the refund amount. A full refund is generally not possible due to the significant investment made in each puppy’s health, development, and well-being prior to placement.
🐾 Return Requirements
If returning a puppy is the only viable option, the following conditions must be met:
- The puppy must be returned in good health , with no signs of neglect or mistreatment.
- All original health records , vaccination documentation, and microchip information must be included.
- You are responsible for all transportation costs associated with the safe return of the puppy to our facility.
- We reserve the right to decline the return if the puppy arrives in poor condition or shows signs of abuse or improper care.
📞 Open Communication Is Key
Before making any decisions about returning your puppy, we strongly encourage you to reach out to us. Whether it’s behavioral concerns, training questions, or adjustment challenges, our team is here to support you through the transition. Often, a small adjustment or piece of guidance can make all the difference in helping your puppy settle into their new home.
❤️ A Lifelong Responsibility
Owning a German Shepherd is a journey filled with loyalty, joy, and deep companionship — but it also comes with serious responsibilities. Before making a commitment, please ensure you’re ready to provide a stable, loving home for the next 10–12 years or more.
At German Shepherd For Rehoming , we’re committed to being part of your journey every step of the way. Let’s work together to give your German Shepherd the happy, healthy future they deserve.
